Team News

Alan Rattray and Robbie Horn give Ray Stewart extra options at the back, following their return from suspension. The defensive due sat out of Saturday's Angus derby after seeing red against East Fife.

Paul Tosh made a successful comeback against his hometown team and is expected to be passed fit for this crucial cup tie. Simon Vella was another who finally made his return from injury. The Maltese international put in a good shift against Arbroath, and will be looking to restore his first team place against his former club.

Barry Sellars missed out on Saturday with a neck injury substained against East Fife. The creative midfielder's fitness is yet to be confirmed, although his addition to the squad would prove a massive bonus for Ray Stewart.

Airdrie United's Stephen McKeown and Lee Gardener have both been ruled out due to injury. Stevie Docherty is a doubt, but won't give up hope until the night of the game.


Other News

Forfar face Airdrie United in the club's first ever Bell's Challenge Cup Quarter Final. The Loons had to beat Elgin City and Albion Rovers to make it this far, whereas Sandy Stewart's outfit have beaten Montrose and Greenock Morton.

It was honours even between the sides last year, however Forfar fans will fondly reflect on the 5-1 Station Park drubbing that was handed out. Airdrie United just missed out on promotion last season, and will be looking to go one better come May.

The winner of this match will go into the Bell's Cup Semi Final draw. The Semi Finals will take place on Wednesday 10th September.
