Team News

Forfar have two certain absentees in Scott Taylor and Alan Rattray. Hugh Davidson, Kevin Byers and David Lowing should all be available after recent injuries. Paul Tosh is in the frame after serving his three match suspension and the fitness Steven Florence remains unclear.

Airdrie United also have two certain absentees. They are quoted as captain Steven Docherty and playmaker David Dunn. Sandy Stewart has the rest of his squad fit and available for selection.

Other News

Forfar are yet to win an away match against Airdrie United. In the three meetings at New Broomfield to date - there has been two draws and one home win. Ray Stewart's side will be looking to break that duck.

Airdrie United have been in incredible form since the turn of the year. They clawed back a fourteen point gap Morton held over them and are now in the driving seat to win the title. An Airdrie United victory coupled by a Hamilton draw or loss (against Alloa) will guarantee the Diamonds promotion.

Airdrie boss, Sandy Stewart, spoke to today's Evening Times: "We know what to expect from Forfar and that means this one will be another difficult game. We won up there recently, but the last time they came to Airdrie they gave us plenty of trouble in a 3-3 draw."

He continued to say: "What has pleased me most at this stage of the season is the way players have responded when we have asked them to come in and replace the guys with injuries."

The referee will be Brian Cassidy. His assistants are Stewart Shearer and Wes Boulstridge.
